Speaking about the award Mr Rodriguez said:
“It gives me particular pleasure to announce this award at the end of what has been a fantastic week of Shakespearean performances from Oathall’s students. I am delighted that the dynamic arts education offer that Oathall provides for its students has been nationally recognised in this way. Holding Artsmark status means we are leading the way in providing young people with outstanding arts and cultural experiences. The magnificent performances by all the students involved in this production of Romeo and Juliet serves to underline how committed the college is to ensuring students participate in a rich variety of cultural experiences in their time at Oathall. Congratulations to all the staff and students at Oathall for their hard work in achieving Artsmark Gold.’
