This assembly celebrates all the hard work and achievements from this half term.
Cellist Aglaia Carvalho-Dubost received a standing ovation for her beautiful performance of the Saint-Saens Cello Concerto with the Burgess Hill Symphony Orchestra on the evening of Saturday 14th May 2022, under the baton of Mike Woods. This was quite unique for a person her age to perform as a soloist at this level, and she executed the technically challenging solo cello part with such expressive detail. Teachers and fellow students were there to support her and a wonderful evening was had by all.

This assembly looks at examples of criticism and the impacts words and actions have.
Our brand new string ensemble, run by Mrs Freeman on Friday afternoons, is working on their debut performance piece for the Summer Concert in July. They are sounding fabulous!

Our year 8 students got a taste of the world of work last week as they took part in Take Your Child to Work Day.
This initiative gave students the opportunity to witness first-hand what happens in the work place.

Successful people maintain good habits and are consistently goal oriented. This assembly looks at a range of successful people and how they got to be where they have.
We were thrilled to welcome back local radio celebrity Jack Hayes from More Radio (aka ‘Jack The Lad’) to Oathall recently with his Dare to Dream team to deliver an inspirational programme from the Love Local Jobs Foundation that challenges students to change the way they think.
As a professional entertainer, Jack uses his skills to engage with students in a unique and memorable way. His presentation served to promote and reinforce core themes central to wellbeing, employability and positive futures; ultimately encouraging our students to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.
