This year Oathall Community College is working in partnership with the Bentswood Hub and The Salvation Army to provide Christmas Hampers for some of the children in our local area.
We are asking Oathall families to donate toys, gifts and food items. The students will be creating hampers and taking them to the charities for them to distribute before Christmas.
If you are in a position to donate any new, unwrapped gifts please see below suggested gift ideas.
Each year group has a designated age group to buy for to avoid duplicates.
We will also be accepting non perishable food donations such as biscuits, chocolate and sweets to add to the hampers (no nuts please). Students can drop off their gifts to their tutor any morning between now and the final drop off date of Friday 6th December.
We really appreciate any support you can give to this appeal and know that many children will benefit hugely from your kindness and generosity.

Last Friday saw the launch of this years STEM challenge. Ten year 9 students attended the launch event and have been set the challenge of building a drone ready for this year’s challenge in July. Students also got to see a fascinating presentation from professor Stephen Wilkins about his work on the James Webb Space Telescope to help inspire them for the challenge ahead!

Our next Mini Mile event will be held on Tuesday 19th November! There were around 50 runners last time and we would love to see this number grow. Come along for a morning run to set yourself up for the day and to be in with a chance of winning prizes and house points!
The Senior Prefect team attended the Haywards Heath Schools Remembrance Service at St Wilfrid’s Church. School Captains, Zac and Flora delivered two powerful readings to the congregation of Primary and Secondary schools and the Mayor!
