Odd Socks Day

On Monday 16th November students and staff at Oathall wore odd socks as part of anti-bullying week. This was to raise awareness that we stand together against bullying and to promote difference. The money raised from this day goes towards The Diana Award a charity set up in memory of Princess Diana who believed that young people have the power to change the world. One of the areas that the charity helps with is providing training and resources to schools to tackle any bullying and to raise awareness.

We are proud at Oathall to support this very important charity and even prouder to be uniting together and standing up against any form of bullying.

So far, we have raised £855 for the charity. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so via the School Gateway.

Announcing the 2020-2021 Senior prefect team

We are especially pleased to announce our 2020-2021 Senior Prefect team. Our selection process was delayed by several months after the school closure and restrictions arising from COVID.

The normal process of applications, interviews and voting took place this term and we are pleased to announce that our school captains are Isla and Lola.  Our team of vice-captains are Katie, Molly, Nicole, Oscar and Wahi. They have already begun to contribute by assisting with Zoom Q&A sessions for families of students in Y6 who are thinking of joining Oathall next September. Congratulations to all of them.

Extracurricular activities in school

In normal times, the college has a programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities running throughout the year. These range from regular weekly lunchtime and after school clubs to trips and visits to a variety of places and organisations. Towards the end of the summer term, we have an enrichment week with residential trips in the UK and overseas as well as day trips and on-site enrichment activities.

The following is an example of an extracurricular timetable from last year. Many of these activities are completely free of charge.
