Oathall donations

26th May 2023Joanna Patch

It is at this time of year that we start to say farewell to our year 11 students. At the end of their time at Oathall, families will often choose to make a donation to the school as a thank-you. Many thanks to the families who have already done so. Any donations we receive will be used to buy more books for the library. The books we buy will be ones suggested by students and on topics that reflect their interests and passions.
If you would like to donate, you can do so via ParentPay.
Thank you.

Used uniform donations

26th May 2023Joanna Patch

With the end of our summer term approaching, we start to say goodbye to our year 11s. At the end of their time at Oathall, often there may be pieces of uniform that are still in good condition but no longer needed. Similarly, as students move through the school, pieces of uniform are outgrown before they are out-warn. We kindly ask that if you have any items of Oathall uniform that are still in good repair and which you have no need to keep, we would be happy to accept them. We are always in need of uniform items for families who need helping out or for students who lose or damage kit. Please bring clean items in a bag to reception.
Thank you.

STEM challenge success

23rd May 2023Joanna Patch

Oathall students have been working on the Mid Sussex STEM challenge since September. Their brief was to build and race a buggy remotely around a circuit. The Driver could not see the buggy so a camera and FPV (First Person View) system had to be developed.
Our students performed really well and managed to win the trophy for first place in the race.
Well done, and thank you to all involved.

Ypres trip 2023

22nd May 2023Joanna Patch

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Last week, Oathall students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Ypres as part of our enrichment programme. Setting off in the early hours and not getting back until late in the day, our students represented Oathall well with their exemplary behaviour and great attitude to learning.
Thank you to everyone involved with all the hard work involved in making this trip a reality.

The Great Oathall Bake Off 2023

18th May 2023Joanna Patch

We are looking for ten students from years 7, 8, 9 and 10 to take part in our live bake-off on Thursday, 22 June 2022.

We will supply the ingredients and equipment. You just need to bring the decorating items, cake board and a box to take it home.

We are looking for a novel, well-presented and tasty creation to impress the judges.

This year’s theme is Celebration Cakes.

To be in with a chance of being a participant, just bake your creation at home, take a photo of yourself and your cake, and either email it to Mrs Kirkpatrick ([email protected]), along with your name, tutor group and recipe (including ingredients).
Sorry, no paired entries – you must bake alone.

All entries are to be in by Tuesday, 6 June.

Good luck.
