The library hosted a celebration brunch and certificate presentation for a number of our Year 11 students today. The students have shown exemplary effort in their studies across all subjects during the Autumn term; a fantastic achievement.
Well done to you all!
Our last day of this term will be Friday, 16 December. On this day, students will only need to bring books and equipment for periods 1 and 2. Students will be dismissed from school before lunch at approximately 12:30. School bus times have been adjusted accordingly.

Acceptance does not mean liking, wanting, choosing, or supporting.
Acceptance is an active process. It must be practiced. Acceptance doesn’t mean that you can’t work on changing things.
Acceptance doesn’t mean you’re accepting it’s going to be that way forever. We can practice acceptance toward our experience, people, appearance, emotions, ideas, and more.

This traditional festive lunch is a sit down meal to be eaten in the canteen. Tickets are on sale from Monday 5 December at a cost of £3.50 per ticket and can be purchased by cash only from the tills in the Canteen. If your child is entitled to a free school meal and would like a Christmas lunch ticket please ask them to speak to Mrs Denyer by Monday 12 December.
Ticket numbers are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Any student wishing to have a Christmas Lunch must purchase their ticket by the end of lunch on Monday 12 December, as tickets will not be available after this time.
Students may still use the canteen for other food and drink purchases but there will be a limited selection available on this date.
Oathall students will be performing in our Christmas production of The 39 Steps on Wednesday 7, Thursday 8, and Friday 9 December 2022. Almost 200 students have been working hard since July to bring together their acting, dancing, backstage knowledge, singing, and musical abilities, to make this show a reality.
Tickets are available on Parent Pay at £7.50 each from Monday, 28 November. Please keep your email confirmation as this is your ticket for the performances – it can be printed or shown on your phone or device at the door.
Performances will begin promptly at 7 pm, finish at approx 9:00 pm, and the house will be open to ticket holders from 6.30 pm.
We at Oathall would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved for all their hard work and support. We hope you enjoy the show!
Join us for an evening of carols in the farm barn with music provided by the Oathall orchestra and choir.
This is a free event. Everybody is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.

Desire and determination to achieve success – whatever that might look like to you

It is simple to sign up to Amazon Smile via your app or computer and start raising money.
Many thanks for your continued support.

Spirited Arts is an annual competition run since 2004 for pupils studying RE. The competition gives a chance to be creative and imaginative in RE and Art. It is all about spiritual ideas as well as individual skills.
Themes for this year’s competition:
If you would like to take part, please complete the form below:
If you would like any help with your entry, please come to Art Club (3.15-4.15 in the Art Block AD4) on the dates below if you are able to:
Students can choose from one of the RE themes listed above and respond to it in any way they like, as long as it is creative, original, and shows a deep understanding of RE. For example, in the past, students have responded through; art (painting, drawing, sketching etc.), poetry, photography, music, and sculpture.
A piece of writing will need to accompany it, explaining the artwork.
We will choose 10 entries from each year group to win a prize. 10 of these will be entered into NATRE’s international competition, alongside entries from schools all over the world! House points will also be awarded for effort, artwork and explanation.
Last year over 50,000 pieces were created. Take a look at NATRE’s website to see some of the fantastic pieces of artwork, poems, songs and dances that students have previously submitted. They will give you an idea of what a winning entry might look like and examples of how to interpret a theme.
Entries must be submitted to Mrs McMillan by Monday, 17th April 2023.
Good luck!
