Over the summer, Oathall moved from SIMS to a new management information system called Bromcom. As part of this process, Insight, our former online portal for parents and students has been discontinued. From now on, Oathall will use Bromcom’s portal for parents called MyChildAt School or MCAS for short.

What is MCAS?

MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) is a portal that can enable parents to view their child’s academic
performance in real-time via a web browser mobile app. This facility allows exclusive
access to key academic dates, attendance information, and personal details the
school holds for you and your child. This portal will also provide access to other features such as homework, assessment & reports, timetables, behaviour, and parental consent. Initially, we may only launch some of these aspects whilst we continue to test and set up the functionality.

There are two ways of accessing MCAS.

  1. You can download the MCAS app to use on your mobile device. We encourage parents to set up the app on their mobile devices. This means we can send notifications about your child to your mobile phone.
  2. If you prefer, you can also set up your account via a web browser.

How to access MCAS

We will issue parents with an invitation code. This will be sent using the email address that you have provided to the school. If you do not have an invitation code please contact the school on [email protected] as you will not be able to set up an account without one.

When you have your invitation you will need to go to the parent login page at Mychildatschool.com from here please click on the “Redeem invitation code” and complete the instructions to set up your account. Full instructions may be found here in this guide.Â
