Students and staff show off their 2013 Bright Award for Best New Business.
Earlier this year our farm shop was nominated for Best New Business in the 2013 Bright FM Awards. Students and staff at Oathall Community College were thrilled to have even have been nominated but on Thursday 14 November we scooped the award! The award was presented to Mr Wood, Head of Farm and Mrs Woodward, Farm Shop Supervisor at the ceremony at the East Sussex National Golf Resort in Uckfield.
Our shop, which opened last year, was praised by the judges for its fresh, local and ever expanding selection of quality foods and its excellent customer service as well as the educational experience it offers students.
The award-winning Oathall Farm Shop is open Tuesdays 1pm – 6pm, Fridays 1pm – 6pm and Saturdays 9am – 2pm and sells a variety of produce including delicious home-reared meats, free-range eggs and a variety of chutneys, oils and cakes.
