On Friday of last week eight Oathall students did battle it out in the every popular, annual Bake Off event.
They had the morning to bake their creations – the theme this year being, The Circus. And the judges confirmed the standard of baking was exceptional.
Cuckfield Lindfield & Haywards Heath Rotary – sponsors of the event for over a decade – co-judged the bakes (along with Oathall teachers Mrs K Tyers, Mrs S Kirkpatrick and representatives from our catering team) and awarded marks based on appearance and taste.
All eight students received a goody bag containing measuring spoons, cupcake moulds, cake skewers and silicone spatulas – along with their certificate and personalised Bake Off apron!
But there had to be overall winners. Emily, Isobel and Alexis also received a voucher for £30, £20 and £10 respectively.
