This week our assembly theme is ‘Celebration Year’.
We are halfway through the spring term, and this is a great opportunity to recognise all the things we have achieved.
After a much deserved Christmas break, we have all come back to school with a fresh sense of optimism. Students have been working hard and successes have been achieved in so many ways.
- Our Year 11 students continue to work towards their GCSEs, and in January, were issued with their mock exam results.
- Year 9 had their Options Evening.
- “Whispering Wednesdays” started in the Library as part of our Well-being and mental health initiative. Every Wednesday, students can enjoy a calmer, quieter time in the Library at breaktimes, and this is proving to be an enormous success.
- Students from years 7, 8, and 9 chose from an impressive selection of activities in preparation for our annual Enrichment Days.
- Harry Potter Book Night was held in the Library on 2 February and was a huge success.
- This week students will be performing in our fantastic school production “Matilda”.
- Our Super Curriculum activities continue to be a great success, with students from years 7, 8 and 9 engaging well with a range of activities.
These are just some of the many achievements enjoyed over this half term, and we are all looking forward to seeing what the next half of the term will bring.
