Captain Jade and some Oathall sailors!

Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 at Oathall Community College completed a fun run on Friday 21 March in aid of Sport Relief.

The race took place around the school grounds and participants dressed up as anything beginning with the letter S or R for the occasion.

Check out the photos from the run here and see if you can spot Superman, Spiderman, a rocker, the grim reaper, Little Red Riding Hood, the Statue of Liberty and SpongeBob SquarePants!

Team GB discus thrower Jade Lally popped in to talk to our students in assembly in the afternoon about her training regime ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.

Jade said on the day: “I’m really happy to be here to help support Oathall’s Sport Relief fundraising efforts. I’m impressed with the huge effort the kids have made with their outfits and costumes. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and have been really positive in their feedback to my talk in assembly.”

Students from all year groups could also wear their own clothes to school for the day in return for a donation to this fantastic cause.

Donations are still coming in, we’ll let you know when we have a grand total!
