easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. So far we’ve raised over £3 million for causes throughout the UK. It works in a similar way to nectar, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead. It’s as simple as that!
You can shop with over 2,000 well known stores and each will donate up to 15% of what you spend. For example, John Lewis will donate 2.5%, Amazon 2.5%, The Body Shop 10%, some insurance retailers will even donate up to £30 simply for taking out a policy with them!
It’s very simple – once you’ve registered with us, when you shop with one of our retailers, our system makes a note of your purchase, collects the donation from the retailer and passes it to your chosen good cause. That’s it! No hassle for you, we do all the hard work while you shop as your normally would. (more…)
- Raising funds for Oathall
There are many ways you can help support the PTA in raising money for the college. We’ve all got busy lives and pressures on our time so here are a few easy ways that you can help.
- OPTAlot! – The Oathall Lottery
Win a monthly cash prize and help raise money for Oathall.
Half the jackpot goes on First and Second prizes; half funds school projects.
Draws will happen once a month, October to July. Join in at the start of the school year, or, if you miss the beginning, join in later and we’ll simply enter you for the next ten draws. Buy in multiples of £10, e.g. if you spend £40, your name will be entered 4 times in each month’s draw.
Payment will be via ParentPay, OR an annual standing order OR a cheque into school made out to ‘OPTA’.
This draw will be run by OPTA under the MSDC Small Society Lottery rules.
- It replaces the present ‘500 Club’. Parents who currently have a standing order for the 500 Club do not need to do anything and will automatically be entered into the lottery.
- There will be no paper tickets. A new Oathall Lottery computer programme picks the winners at random.

- Charity Bake Sale
To celebrate the life of Lola Geere and raise some money to help other young people affected by cancer, on Friday 10th December we will be holding a charity bake sale and planting a tree in the school grounds in her memory.
Cakes and other baked goods, both homemade and shop-bought, will be available to our school community at break time in exchange for a small donation. All the money raised will go directly to the Teenage Cancer Trust to support young people and their families who are affected by cancer.
Bakes will be priced 50p – £1 so students should bring a small amount of cash with them on Friday 10th December to pay for these. Instructions for how to donate a bake can be found in the letter to parents/carers sent on 29 November.
For health and safety reasons, we ask:
- Please do not use any peanuts, nuts, or sesame seeds in your bakes
- Any cakes purchased from shops should stay in the original packaging as they will have the correct allergen labels on them
We cannot guarantee that anything sold on the bake sale does not contain or is not contaminated with any of the 14 food allergens. Therefore any child with an allergy should not buy or eat any of the homemade products. (There will be other items available).
Thank you in advance for your support with this event.
