Here at Oathall we offer a whole-school approach to learning and support for the most to the least able.
Students may experience a range of learning, physical, social or emotional needs. We work closely with students, parents, subject and pastoral staff to identify, diagnose, monitor and make provision for meeting individual needs. Learning support staff also works closely with the Local Authority, health service, social services and voluntary organisations.
Any student giving cause for concern is registered for the appropriate level of support as set out in the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. Provision can be in the form of advice to students, parents and staff, in-class support to modify tasks or, in exceptional circumstances; students may follow a modified curriculum and be withdrawn to work in small groups or individually.
