Cover Supervisors required for September 2019 start
We are seeking highly motivated, confident and well organised people to join our staff as Cover Supervisors. The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with young people. The position is an outstanding opportunity to gain experience in a school environment, possibly as a step towards a career in teaching.
Cover supervisors oversee whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers and generally assist pupils in undertaking set activities. They are also required to supervise students at lunchtime. When they are not covering a lesson they carry out a range of administrative tasks that can draw on the individual’s particular skill set.

Experience as a Cover Supervisor isn’t necessary but a keenness to develop your skills and knowledge of working with young people is essential. A full induction package, ongoing training and development will be provided. The school is extremely supportive of staff considering progressing into teaching and can actively guide people into teacher training.
You would be expected to work Monday to Friday, 8.45 to 3.15 including an unpaid 30 minute break. There may be some flexibility about working less days. There are 5 teacher INSET days that you would not be expected to attend. The post is term time only.
